I forgot you were going to Paris or I would have asked about it in person! This sounds so delightful! What a beautiful writeup of your trip with some lovely (and helpful) tips.
I love this! Flaneur is my new favorite word and a new goal. As an avid list maker and enthusiastic local attraction researcher, I love to plan out trips. A vacation last week with friends -- where the pre-planned "ideals" and "musts" didn't all pan out for one reason or another -- showed me the beauty of going with the flow and being open to whatever fits the moment, the mood and the momentum. So while I'm currently a low-level flaneur, I see the value in making that M.O. more of a norm than a fall-back position. Thanks for the inspiring insight and brilliant reviews, and welcome back!

Sounds like a really fun trip! I think we all need to be more like that. I can't wait to hear your other two posts!
